Some time ago I wrote about my plans to print work for others, and I’m now ready to roll with this. As I mentioned before, I’m offering fine art printing services using the two Epson fine art printers I have here at World Headquarters. I can print work up to 44 inches wide and 10 feet long on a variety of papers, including Epson’s Somerset Velvet, Ultrasmooth, and Hot and Cold Press papers, as well as the Hahnemuhle line. I can also print Epson Luster stock in sizes up to 16 inches wide and 10 feet long. Also, it doesn’t have to be fine art – I can print posters, flip charts, etc. in a variety of materials including vinyl and transparent media.

My plan is to remain relatively small-scale as far as this service is concerned, and to print your work as provided.  This means you’ll need to have an understanding of what’s involved in getting your work ready to print. I’m preparing a workshop and printed materials to help people do this, and can also recommend a great book, Fine Art Printing for Photographers by Uwe Steinuller and Juergen Gulbins, published by Rocky Nook Press. It’s a terrific reference to help you learn and use a workflow that produces the best possible results.
