Over the past few weeks I’ve been adding landscape and other images to my online shop at chrishutcheson.com. I finally (what took so long?) came to the realization that I have an overabundance of inventory here, some of it going back almost 8 years. It’s actually hard to miss, since the work has been leaning against walls throughout the house for about a year, now, since i decided I needed to clean out the basement. Also, the longer the work kicks around here, or is carted to and from shows, the more likely the possibility of damage. I’ve been lucky so far, but there are a few here with nicks and dings. Hence, a print sale!
If you go to the store you’ll see that in many cases I’ve dropped the price of the images significantly, some to the value of the frame and mat (unless otherwise indicated they’re all framed). It’s not that I don’t like the images, but they need to go out in the world now and find homes of their own. Particularly since, in the next year or so, I plan to sell the house and move who-knows-where. Because I’m also in a state of flux on that adventure (smaller space in Toronto, or better space outside the city?) I want to have as little as possible on hand to move.
I’m not planning on doing many/any outdoor shows this year, particularly because of the wear and tear on prints and me, and potential work scheduling, so this may be a good way to acquire a print at very reasonable pricing.
Feel free to check the images out, and if you’re interested in seeing any “live” let me know and we can arrange an appointment for you to come and see them.
