Here is a selection of my images from the last concert of the season at the Canadian Opera Company’s Free Concert Series at the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre. I wasn’t able to be on the roster of regular photographers at the series this season, so it was particularly good to be able to come in and shoot this one alongside Karen Reeves – who’s been doing terrific work in the series for the past few years. I’m hoping to be able to come back to the series a little more next year, depending on what work I can line up to keep the home fires burning!
This particular concert was performed by the brass section of the COC Orchestra and it was unique in that musicians were distributed throughout the third and fourth levels of the space, placing them right in with the audience, and providing a real wall of sound. A terrific close to another great season!
